The Immunisation Advisory Centre sits within the Department of General Practice & Primary Health Care, School of Population Health, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland. The research team supports all communication activities of this organisation. We provide the best available evidence based information on vaccines, vaccination and vaccine preventable diseases to health professionals and the wider community as well as investigate the social impacts of immunisation and the diseases they prevent.
We are equally involved in broader research activities that recognise the need for a multidisciplinary approach for the delivery of any public health programme. Since the inception of IMAC's research team we have developed research partnerships both within and across the University, other academic institutions, the primary care setting and the wider community. |
